What’s Shaking at Marina Pez Vela? – September/October 2017

The long awaited, ever useful, always insight DOUBLE MONTH edition of Quepolandia is always a blast for those businesses and companies who are gearing up for a few slow and sleepy months in our rainy season…. NOT SO MUCH FOR MARINA PEZ VELA as packing in all the news, events, activities and developments at the project requires a weekly edition rather than bimonthly one! That said, and without further fanfare, here is some insight into what’s going on at MPV during September and October to add to your calendars and busy schedules!

BANCO PROMERICA AT MARINA PEZ VELA IS OPEN

This is huge news for the marina and for our local community. This location is a full service branch and is open until 7 pm Monday – Friday and until 2 pm on Saturdays. This is the ONLY bank in Quepos open after 5pm and is a great way to combine a sunset, dinner or some shopping/errands at the plaza and take advantage of your banking needs.

SEPTEMBER 15TH, COSTA RICA’S INDEPENDENCE DAY

Whether you were born and raised here, are an expat enjoying paradise, or a tourist just here on vacation, there is NOTHING like sharing in the pride of Costa Rican Independence Day. Costa Rica’s Independence Day is such a special time where local schools, communities and families celebrate the pride which is such intrinsic to this nation and its wonderful people. The Marina has always looked to compliment and support the civic activities and traditions which our local Municipality and schools coordinate on these events. This year’s 15th falls in on a Friday so plan on coming by MPV for a weekend full of faroles, typical food, dances, and events celebrating this amazing country and its heritage.

HALLOWEEN/DIA DE LAS MASCARADAS

Marina Pez Vela’s Halloween/Día de las Mascaradas is an ENORMOUS success and this year we plan on expanding the event, the amount of trick or treating and the fun for the entire family. Mark your calendars, come by for a happy hour here and get those creative juices flowing as we will have lots of activities, a haunted house and more on Tuesday, October 31st

“WHERE DO I EAT?” IN SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER

Anyone who has lived here through September and October has dealt with the rainy night realization that many of the restaurants in Manuel Antonio are CLOSED during the months of September and October. We want to let everyone know that all of our restaurants here at the project are going to be open all of September and October. Come down and enjoy the covered parking, easy access, and choose from one of our 6 restaurants Runaway Grill, Mercato del Porto, Gabriella’s, Z Gastro Bar, Sunrice, and the Double Hook Sports Bar.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL COURTS

Many of you will have already seen or came by to watch the National Beach Volleyball championships at the project during August, but the great news is that these beautiful beach volleyball courts are now additional amenities for the project and our community. Whether you are looking to organize a beach volleyball tournament with friends, some beach soccer, Frisbee, or some other creative sporting event with family, friends, or other communities, you can contact Estibaliz Hidalgo at events@marinapezvela.com for more information about putting together your next event on these new courts!

MARINA PEZ VELA VILLAS

These 2 and 3 bedroom villas are ideal for when you have friends, clients, or family in town and we have great local and low season rates in affect now so even if you are looking for a little vacation without having to leave town, a night or two at the marina, enjoying the roof top pool, dining options and setting is a great gift for someone you love.
